The Colours of Beer!

Power to the Pieper!
No, no, no, it is really NOT an April 1st Fool's Day Joke!!! The Youth Food Movement will dump a ton of potatoes on the Dam square in Amsterdam!
Farmer Krispijn has had a beautiful year this year. His barns are full of real Dutch potatoes. However he is not able to sell 500 tons of potatoes. Since it is cheaper, the supermarkets are importing their potatoes! What a waste!!! It is time for action!
On April 1st, the YFM will dump Krispijn's potatoes on the Dam square. At 3 pm. Come and get them!

Food Film Festival 2012
2nd edition of the Food Film Festival Amsterdam
From March 16 - 18th the Youth Food Movement will organize the second edition of the Food Film Festival. The festival's philosophy is based on the idea that people will have to revalue their food in order to make a sustainable change. The best way to do this is through a shared experience: sharing the love for food!
An important theme during the festival is 'food = culture'. This becomes particularly apparent whitin cinema. There is hardly any feature film that is devoid of food. Having it, sharing it, savoring it, not sharing it, longing for it and cooking it.
The festival has made it into it's ambition to screen the best and most interesting food related films in the world. This year the film selection included more than 20 beautiful movies featuring the most amazing chefs & dishes. There is an extended program of events, debates and parties. And on top of this you are invited to brush up on your cooking skills by taking part in one of the many workshops! Enjoy your meal!!!
